Flower crab spider and its prey (probably a bee?). Perhaps, this 'predator' belongs to Thomisus onustus (Walckenaer, 1805). To avoid detection, many species of crab spiders can change color to match those species of flowers on which they typically wait for prey. In this case, the story was developing on a flower of Alcea setosa (bristly hollyhock).

Hi Ilya. This is an excellent picture of a flower spider catching a bee. I like your point of view and the depth of field is good enough to have a crisp sharpness of the whole spider. Bravo. regards, Irmgard
