The red of a Cardinal was for me the brightest red color I could imagine … till I saw this bird.
Done in Wabukayne Park - Mississauga
A striking black-winged red bird, the Scarlet Tanager is a common species of the eastern forest interior. Despite its brilliant coloring it is often overlooked because of its rather secretive behavior and its preference for the forest canopy.

Hi Mario,
what a colourful bird is this fellow."Despite its brilliant coloring it is often overlooked because of its rather secretive behavior and its preference for the forest canopy."I am surprised that no one has had anything to say about this wonderful bird what with all the views it has had.It is not overlooked by me however. You have great colour and focus working well in this shot and that with having difficult backlight to deal with, well done and Tfs. Bob
