Hello Jim,
This is a stunning photo. The colors are outstanding and details are exceptional. I am amazed by the perfect DOF. The heron is razor sharp, the branches behind it are in focus but not too much to distract, and the background is a wonderfully blurred green. This gives you photo amazing depth. It should be in a textbook as an example of how to use DOF to enhance a photo. Excellent composition also.
Ken

Hi Jim, very unusual shot and a great portrait of this Heron, I love the hairdo and open beak. Great colours, light and sharpness, good dof.
