What you get to see at the local pub...

|This photo was taken along the shores of the Chobe river, in the Chobe National Park, in north east Botswana. We were near sunset and a few animals seemed to enjoy the relaxing atmosphere of this time of the day. They would stroll to the river to have a drink...|
In the picture you can see the profile of a beautiful Kudo, that judjing by the long and twisty horns might have come to the river for many years. Also in the background a lovely family of elephants.

There's an Afrikaans' novel titled Koedo, I read it when I want to show myself how much I'm losing the fine details to the language.
I really like the fine silhouettes here, you've retained wonderful quality and focus within the image. The elephants look nice, and all the animals have very calm forms... very natural image. Makes me miss that dry continent! TFS Anrea.
Great photo. Lighting is superb. You were fortunate to get both the kudu and elephant together.Taken at one of my favourite spots in the whole world.
