Here is a black slug making its way along the forest floor seeking leafy food. Slugs are molluscs and gastropods that diverged from snails when they lost their shells. They move slowly by a rippling motion of the elongated foot (gasto = stomach; pod = foot). While the vast majority of molluscs are marine creatures, slugs developed a mantle cavity that functions as a lung.
Their eyes are at the end of those stalks sprouting from their head. |

Interesting look at this big black slug John.
Some good detail but a bit of noise in places too. Could do with a bit more DOF I think.
