|The grebe family on the canal in Leiden. While the young grebes are boating on top of their mother, the father is hunting and diving for fish. Here he has catched one and feeds it to the young grebes.|
Leiden is a city build on canals and it has many waterbirds. The grebes here are not very shy and used
to people walking along the canals.
However, this was the first time I saw the young grebes boating on their mother. Unfortunately I did
not have my telezoom with me. This picture was cropped, I did auto-colorbalance with MS-Photoeditor and sharpened about 3 degrees with the same program.
