A brilliant catch indeed.

Watch out composition. Subject should never be centered. With photoshop or the-like application it is easy to uncenter the bird. I would have set it up and left to orientate the body toward the open space; or up and right to orientate the eyes toward the open space.

What a nice POV for an in-flight subject. I love the angle and the way the outstretched wings fill the frame. The focus is outstanding right down to the smallest stems in her beak. Great eye contact. Beautiful colors against a beautiful clear sky. You should be very proud of this one!

great, even better than a normal flight picture. Sharpness spot on the eye! Lovely sky and good compo: I do not like centered pictures at all, but here in my opinion, it is working very well, because of the full frame and the diagonal compo.
