Yesterday, we went with friends to the Fernbank Natural History Museum in Atlanta. We saw many things such as the Earth's largest dinosaur which I posted on TrekEarth. We also saw the Madagascan Giant Day Gecko (Phelsuma Madagascariensis) which is a part of the "Lizards & Snakes Alive!" exhibit at the museum. For more information they have a fine website:

Fernbank Museum

We had a great time at the museum and highly recommend it.

I shot this image at 1/50s F/4.5 ISO-640 53mm.

Hope you enjoy,

i like this one!the contrast of the colorful gecko and the greyish tree.sadly that there is this small part of "mouss" on the left part.but great sharpness.

Hello Reid,
What a fantastic Gecko in bright colours very well captured on the grey tree trunk. Great sharpness to show the texture of the skin although the head is a bit soft on focus, but it's hard to capture these long ones!
TFS and regards, Ulla
