Very good capture for you as well as the spider.
Very nice colors and details.
Would like to have seen a bit of a tighter crop though.
Pity colors and details on the back of the spider are a little washed out.
These two things are just minor flaws though and do not really effect the beauty of the image.
I did rework the image a little for you in photoshop.

What a dramatic scene have been pictured by you. I like composition of the shot, excellent details and colour of the image. May be DOF would more large a bit. However, great action shot. Bravo and TFS.

Hi Hernan

Another lovely macro from your ingenious equipment showing great action with the spider capturing its prey. The rule of nature is clearly depicted here, "If you snooze, you loose". Although, as in this case, "loose" is used in the ultimate sense.

The composition is fine however; I agree with Harry (Profame) that you probably could have cropped it a little more and with a bit of wary PP reduced the amount of OE on the spiders back. His workshop very adequately addressed those slight nits and brought your posting to its full potential. Apart from the little area of OE mentioned the exposure was actually very well managed on the rest of the shot and the colours came out very natural. The isolated BG is well OOF and compliments the subjects very well. Although the DOF was perhaps slightly limiting it is not as bad as you perhaps thought it to be since Harry clearly illustrated (in his workshop) that there was really quite enough detail to work with. It just needed a little more PP to bring it out properly.

Anyway, good work under trying circumstances and TFS.

Como siempre directo al cuello :)
Aunque no estes contento con la profundidad de campo, el foco lo tenias justo en el plano adecuado, aunque quizas si hubieras forzado a F:8 todavia hubieras tenido suficiente velocidad. Y hablando de una escena tan pequeña y de la tecnologia adaptada está fenomenal, con una exposición y iluminacion correcta.

Hola Hernán,
This is a superb capture of a spider with its capture. I don't think you should blame your home-made macro equipment for any thing here: this has good sharpness, DOF is good and you have focused it well. Great compositionand BG.
