We got to the Ling Lake around 12:30Pm after 4.5 hrs of hiking in some fairly hot weather. There was still a fair bit of snow around as you can see, but fortunately the area that we like to camp in at the far side of the lake had enough bare ground that we could set up camp.
It really is quite a special feeling having such a place all to ourselves. We could probably spend all summer there and have maybe one or two other groups of hikers coming in for a visit.
Our visit here was for two nights, but if it were possible we'd stay much longer. We're actually talking about someday coming here for an entire summer.
Even though we dearly cherish our short visits to such areas, it feels as though we are just beginning to get into the "rhythm" of the area when we have to break away and return to civilization.

good reflection nice colors but the image looks like it was painted. a little dark too. still very pretty.

The symmetry does it for you and me. Just one tree to balance my mind in order I not get caught in the maze of mirrors.....everything is in order BG..... Well done. Only reason I no longer pic yours for my Fav portfolio...I can always go to your wonderful website which I show to all of my friends...really! No patronization here boss.

What a GREAT image.
The "reflection" is OUTSTANDINGLY impressive.
Was also a hiker in my youthful days and can understand EXACTLY what your feelings were.
Thanks for sharing.
Mario from Calgary.

Hi Tim,
Wow, I wouldn't of wanted to leave either...beautiful....what a peaceful place to be an experience. TFS donna:o)

Truly a wonderful scene you captured so well Tom.
So natural and lively. Great composition and lighting.
Serenity - as the night comes on.

Hi Tim,
This is a fabulous image. Such a wonderful POV. The reflections are superb as are the colours. I like that you have included some vegetation in the foreground.

Fabulous! The trees in the foreground are the icing on the cake. Wonderful picture.

Gorgeous Tim, just gorgeous!
The colours here are awesome. The lake is so calm and reflective, just like a mirror. The clouds above the mountain have interesting textures and lighting effects.

TFS Janice

Hello Tim,
Very beautiful landscape image you are showing us here.
Wonderful combination of bright colors, lovely sky and snow.
I can imagine that being there all on your own looking at such wonderful surroundings does give a very special feeling.
The reflection of the snowy mountain and part of the colorful sky is great, but I personally would have taken an other step foreward to show more of the sky reflection at the water surface.
Thanks for sharing.
Have a nice Sunday,

A utterly fantastic lake vista...The reflection is outstanding and the colors amazing...Very well captured...TFS

Hello Tim. this is like the places you dream about. you are so lucky to have been there if only for 2 days. your picture is excellent the detail and colours are first class. the refection in the lake and coloured clouds. Thanks so much for sharing it with us.

Hi Tim,
Looks like you are working with HDR as well, or did you use a different technique to get this result. I like the extreem clarity and tonal range. I do feel that the colors are a bit too saturated. You managed to show an other perfect reflection.
