[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Sunset on the Okuru River in South Westland. The structures on the right are whitebait stands haning in the air. These are dropped into the river and screens placed along the sides and a net at the end.
Whitebait (a small, almost transparent fish) are a delicacy in New Zealand. The season on the West Coast runs from 1st September to 14th November and during that time the population of our small district almost doubles.

What a spectacular sunset! I love the perspective you've created in both the sky and water. I guess this is your winter time right now. The clouds have a cool wintery look to them. The detail, lighting and composition is just great.
