[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The Delhi-Leh sector is one of the most spectacular air routes over Himalayas.

This picture is clicked from 40,000 feet altitude above sea level, close to Himalayan transition zone of glaciers to rainshadow zone desert enroute Leh.

This is peculiar of high altitude rainshadow zone where despite of extreme high altitude there is no snow ahead (as visible in this picture)& one can see rare transition zone of glaciers to cold desert, leaving glaciers behind as you progress on the flight course.

Hi Subhash,
Someday IŽll walk there... I canŽt belive that mountain range!! look at that.. amazing. Thanks for sharing this great capture; lovely to see how the snow appears soft from right to left (more altitude I guess).
Although the wing of the plane is there, this picture refresh my life!
TFS!!!!!!!!! many happy faces for your work
regards
Brenda

Dear Subhash
Amazing details visible from your plane, I am sure you wish, you had wings and soar.

Beware though, remember Icarus...

Thanks for sharing your work, and I have added your photo to my new theme "high Altitude"
