[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
I'm still trying to work on getting foreground into my 10mm lens. As Niek (suntoucher) has observed, you pretty much have to be stepping on it. Here I was trying to get some flowers in the fg, and I was kneeling down right in front of them. It felt like they would be dominating the shot, but it looks like they didn't. Focusing on the fg I may have neglected the lake as the mg. Luckily, I think the bg mountains and clouds are strong.

great composition
good angle
for me the focus is to soft
good note
best regards
aleks ;)
bye
I'm not sure that it is the focus that is soft. I think there is just too much confusion in the foreground. That lens seems to need simplicity of form to be most effective. I sent a version via email.

Hi Mike,
A nice image of the flowers, of the lake and of the mountains, the photo has a good composition, DOF and nice colors. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Mike
Just watch out for your feet... I have had them trying to get in on the act occasionally.
I have to agree with Evelynn that there is too much going on here. The rocks or even water on the shore might have made a better foreground subject matter... but it is not easy getting it right everytime. I too am still practicing at the 10mm effect as well.
