[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This female Ringlet, Aphantopus hyperantus, was resting on the leaf and responding to advances from a male. Although these butterflies are easy to find in open meadows at this time of year, they are none the less fascinating subjects for casual observation.

The subtle colours and markings do not seem to make them any less interesting.

These butterflies are not very spectacular, but if we look good, they have-like you write- very subtle and fine colour and patterns. I like them too.
