Yes I can smell the split pea soup when looking at your wonderful photo. When I look at these obvious seasonale photos I am always remembered that those below the equator are probably looking forward to our current season and we to theirs.
This is a perfect winter scenery, with the virgin white snow nicely covering the shoreline of this natural creek. I really like the clear reflection in the water section and the blurred reflection on the ice. This feels like a real tranquil place.

Brrrrrrrrrrr!!! Excellent POV with an oustanding reflection. I have never seen snowy blues complimented with natural earthtones in the foreground before. Do you know some special trick to get this effect? Very well done. A fantastic photo.

It does look wonderfully cold and magical. When I used to live in town, I'd go running through the neighborhoods early in the mornings. I would love running in the winter (though a Texas winter is something you folks would just scoff at) and smelling breakfast cooking in the homes.
Great shot...love the blues against the whites. There's a quality to your photography that I can't describe but it's amazing. Thank you for taking the time to share these with us.
Not looking forwards to this myself but it is a gorgeous view none the less! Great color contrasts and a very chilly feel to it. TFS

I love the notes here as well as the photo. The photo is enough to cause chills, especially with the shadows, reflection, and the cold color of snow. Still, there's so much life that is sleeping in this shot, just waiting to burst to life in the spring. This is an excellent shot that creates a mood - and if it wasn't so hot, this is what I could see staring at while drinking a cup of hot chocolate. I love this, exposure and all. :)

This is a perfect exposition you manage to show
the inexplicable, the reflections and the blues tones
I don't even try to explain with
words this shot, KUDOS, well done.
TFS. Best regards/Lawhill

Cold is a perfect description for this one. Good composition. I like the soft, almost monotone colours. Great reflections. And the contrast of the little frozen tufts of grass on the left. Very beautiful. Well done.
Best regards, Steve.

This is a superb image Bob with fabulous colours. Wonderful POV and reflections. It almost feels this cold in Adelaide, Australia at the moment.

Well, I agree in part. So far I have never grown tired of autumn. It never seems to last long enough. This shot is really nice Bob. The limited palette along with the lovely lines and curves make it a striking image. I like the mood you captured.

Wonderful scene with such soft colour tones and calm environment. I like the way you have portrayed the feeling of solitude in this chilling frame and the majestic reflections of the icy vegetation. Excellent POV to capture this tranquil setting and very nicely composed. Kudos.

You've captured such a sense of peace and calm here. I can almost feel the crisp cool air even though it's over 80 degrees here now! The curve of the creek with it's almost figure eight shape make for an interesting compostition, well done.
This picture really suggest that the winter is comming :)
Lovely composition with fine details and very nice "cold" colours. I really do not like this period of year (I strongly prefer warme months :>) but on the other hand I have to say that it is a great pleasure to watch this beautiful photo.
TFS and my best withes for you and your wife!
