Another old but gold picture! Of course I like it. I've never seen this slime mould in real life, it looks great and it must be fascinating to see its all stages of life. As always very good post with clear and sharp pictures and interesting note. Not fungus but also great subject my friend :-)

Good morning Felipe..
I do bugs, you do fungi - Some things never change it seems :)
Great images all, done to your usual high standard of excellence. Perfect exposure and natural colors.
Very well done.

You open up an aspect of nature that I, like the vast majority of people, know nothing about. Of course it is mainly because it is a microscopic world and your fine macro photo gives us an excellent insight. The use of long exposure in natural lighting is very succccssful to show two sharp, well composed and well coloured images of Stemonitis axifera.
Well done and TFS!

What a excellent photo you show us here . I have never see this fungi before. Thanks for showing me these little fellers. Wonderful. I "think" naturel colours. Just what ARGUS said: You gives us an excellent insight in the microscopic world with your fine macro photo's. Regards and TFS Bob

Hello Felipe and Cristina,
This is where I really think macro photography is fantastic - it opens a whole new world to us. Terrific pesentation of these peculiar fruiting slime moulds. Excellent sharpness and fine colours. I admire your work!
Many thanks, Ulla

Hola Felipe Mateo and Cristina,
again and again 'new' or rarely posted creatures which you present us and always in a brilliant way. The specimens stand out very clear and are shown with superb sharpness.
Although not specialized in fungi I always like to see your contribtions and like to read your notes.
Best wishes, Peter

Hi Felipe & Cristina,
Very rare looking fungi. First I thought some type of termite house in wood. Very nicely taken with very good details and informative notes. Thanks a lot for sharing.

I remember Clives wonderful post of this species. They are such strange looking things.
They look like they might be hard to shoot, perhaps because of the colour as well as the fact that they prefer darker places.
I'm looking forward to finding these one day.
A very interesting note about the species.

Hola otra vez.
