[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Yet another example of wildlife thriving in the urban environment.

After I posted the Starbucks Sparrow on Thursday, this guy shows up at the window yesterday and starts making his mighty display. Maybe he was seeing his reflection in the lens, but after I started taking his picture, he really got enthusiastic in his head nodding and display.

I was unable to locate a name on the internet. Please let me know the ID and I will update this posting. Thanks to Argus for the identification of a Green Anole (Anolis carolinensis)! And to kjpweb for the confirmation!

Hope you enjoy the image. I have an all-day class today so will catch up on the critiques later.

Hello Reid,
What a spectacular species to find in an urban area! I expect you timed this very well to get him to show his beautiful red bib! Lovely colours, great sharpness and a fine composition.
TFS and regards, Ulla

Hi Reid,
Excellent POV of your "Starbucks" lizard..if you never do get the actual ID, I'd stick with this one ;)
Nice color, exposure, details, DOF, and that orange throat pouch is really an attention getter..and thanx for the preview :)
Well done!
Howard

HOla Reid:

Precioisa captura de esta lagartija multicolor. Una foto muy bien hecha, buena definición color y POV. Lamento no poder ayudar para conocer el nombre de este reptil.

Hello Reid,
I think this is a Green Anole (Anolis carolinensis). They vary their color but have this dewlap or throat fan that is latger in the male, so this must be a male.
Fine sharp capture and a nice composition in this urban environment.
TFS and enjoy your weekend after the day's teaching!

Hi Reid,

Nice shot of this interesting looking lizard. The pose is great. Nice colors and wonderful details really showing off the lizard skin.

Starbuck is one of my family names...Quakers they were tho, not lizards...ha! Another of your Andy Warhol, almost, quasi images of 60's colors. I am starting to see a bit through your eyes thru your pixs. Where were you in th e1960's?
