[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is a griffon vulture a species becoming rarer due to the use of Diclofenac in animals like cattle that become lame. Diclofenac is also used in medicine for products like voltarol an anti inflammatory. It has now been banned in many coutries but it may be too late for some species which are declining at the rate of 50% per annum.
Griffons are thought by many to be ugly but they are fantastic to watch and great flyers, so elegant as they soar on thermals.

Hi Ferg,
Amazing moment!
It's so good the landing instant caught, with the bird's wings wide extended and displaying all its magnificence.
You did it great with the high shutter speed to get this great action shot.

A warm welcome to TN, Ferg.
That is an impressive capture. The pose of the griffon is fantastic.
The spread-out wings and spread-out talons... Wonderful details.
The plumage is excellently shown on the wings and on the body.
Was this griffon wild or was he part of a bird show?
Amazing.
