ciao, alro scatto dalla lussureggiante Texel.
La beccaccia di mare, come detto altre volte è il mio limicolone preferito.
Non l'avevo mai fotografata qui in Italia (nonchè vista raramente), in Olanda è comune come i passeri da noi e nidifica in ogni posto anche vicino a strade trafficate.

Ah, the oystercatcher - one of my favourite waterbirds.
You've photographed it very well against a harmonious and neutral background. Good sharpness on the bird too.
One thing though - I'd have preferred it if you'd left a bit more space in front of the bird so it was less central in the frame and had more space to 'move into'.
Other that that, it's a very good shot.

Hello Andrea,
I see you went to visit the island where I lived for 8 years. I hope you saw many nice things. The Oystercatcher is one of the birds which are very much related to this island. I used to have breeding pairs in my garden!

Hi Andrea,
Fascinating birds the Oystercatchers. We have hundreds here but they are not easy to get close to photograph. This one in flight is exceptional.
