Nice shot of this tough little guy. Tough enough to sit on a rose thorn. I had two ruby-throats fighting so hard that they fell down and wrestled around in the leaves! :-) Very nice image and composition. Good expression from the little HB. Well done.

This is still a nice shot, if a bit soft. I love the red throat. I think all hummers are pretty tough!

Very lovely Angelina. Again it stands out in it's fairyland quality...some nice combination of words to describe are not at the tip of my tongue. Suffice it as very good.

I think that's why it is named ruby throated. By the way my wify's nick is Ruby. So when I hear or see the name ruby it feels nice. Very nicely composed shot of this tiny beauty. Thanks a lot for sharing.

Wonderful shot again and the red patch on its throat looks awesome. Very impressive sharpness and a nice moment captured at it sings out. Superb natural lighting and against the neutral BG it stands out well and looks majestic. Excellent POV to portray this scene and very nicely composed. Kudos.

Great capture of the juvenile ruby throat. Technically the open gap on the left side of the frame is disturbing when the bird is facing the opposite direction.

It is so cute! For a reason, it looks like a young one. This bird seems to be coming from a cartoon! I like this composition and beautiful catch light. You did great too by catching it with its beak opened. This pale background is very nice. Thanks!

une photo superbement composé, s'il y avait lieu, si tu le pouvais
tu aurais dù donner l'espace du côté où regarde l'oiseau
car je pense que cela aurait donner plus de dynamisme à l'image

I must catch up on all of your posts!! Lovely shot of this hummingbird. Love the pose and the opened beak. Interesting to see how small the red patch is on a juvenile.

just a touch of red is correct to Angelina! You're very soft background allows us to focus in on the bird and the thorny branch that the bird is resting on!
