Great capture Marco.
First I thought that it was a long player. fun. Very good taken, good composition, great colours, very good note, very good job you did
Marco
Let me say, I know the feeling of getting the first nice shot of some species that have been eluding me for many years, and this is absolutly splendid. The colours match the Bg as designed by Mother Nature. 2 small nits The lack of geam in the eye, and it is a pity the tail is cut off, I know this makes it even longer, but rather try for a portrait shot and combine it with a full posing showing the whole body later. Just my gut feel.

Congratulations on capturing/not-capturing, Shooting/not shooting, wounded because his tail is gone image. I love the texture changes between the rock and the lizard. Good capture. Thanks for the humerous and informative note.

You managed well to get him visible just enough to make us undestand that he is hard to see. I like how he runs from corner to corner too.

Oh, i just love it when you have a photo like this...the one you have been chasing...finaly you get it. I know the feeling, when i got my first flying seagull, my first sparrow, my first potrait of a horse even. The first is always special ;) You must have looked pretty funny chasing after this litel guy, bet he was fast on his feet he he.
You did great. Amazing how they blend in to the rocks. He's really cute. Good sharpness. I guess a potrit shot would have been nice too...Next challange ;)

Marco! Excellent shot of the lizard in it's natural environment. If I could give points for enthusiasm you'd get 10! Well done and congratulations.

Very good, Marco. The lizard makes a fine diagonal, and your compo manages to show really well the stunning manner in which that guy blends into the surroundings and is able to camouflage himself. Great sharpness and contrast, and good note. Very nice work.

The texture of his skin against the rock is superb. Shame about the missing tail but I to can feel the increase in heart beat when you see what you have been search and hopping to see. nice one and good notes too.

I've seen a couple of lizards in front of the hotel in the bushes and have yet to figure a way to get close without their scampering away or ingnoring the strange looks I get from people walking on the sidewalk for my hopping around in the dirt and bushes.
Great shot - the detail, colors and lighting. It must have been worth the banged up knees LOL.

Hi Marco, is it really that rare? You certainly managed an incredibly sharp picture of it and I believe his left eye has discovered you and is wondering why you aren't extinct already. Nice shot. The rocks look liquid.
