Head Smashed in Buffalo Jump, in Fort Macleod, could not resist taking a couple pictures of this cute little gopher Considering most of his friends are already hibernating he is a rare sight right now.

I have to admit, he is a cutie! I like the lighting you have here, his pose, and his general expression. You have a nice, crisp shot, even with the grass in the way - it adds to his environment. I like the composition and he seems like a soft furry, cuddly creature, though many may not agree. :)

Hi Cristian,
Very nice photo of a ground sqiurrel. What species it is? TFS. Mustafa

Hello Christian,
very pretty shot, exceptional lighting and lovely pose,
well done,

Totally appreciated in light of your critiquing every shot I have almost done...A wonderful serendipitous capture of an unknown to me creature. It looks soft and cuddly as others have said. A good capture in an area not frequently photographed. Could possibly be some sort of squirrel. I'll bet it is a prarie dog as we call them in the wilderness.

Great photo of a Richardson ground squirrel. I have two of these as pets.
