As I promised, this time a weather changes in Antarctica in less than one hour period (About 45 minutes). On my earlier photo you can se the beginning of changes.

All shot ware taken in Ezcurra Inlet – the inner fiord of Admiralty Bay. It is relatively small area. Ship was in the middle of the Inlet and I was taking photos in all directions. You can see 3 different POV here:

0 minutes - Beginning of change photo. It is South-western coast

A. The original collage. It is South-western coast - the same part as on 0 minutes photo

1. The rainbow without the water vortex and with little bit more transparent view 5 minutes after my beginning of change photo.
2. Almost the same place as on 1 shot. About 15 minutes later than beginning. The same POV as on my beginning shot but already without the rainbow here.
3. 25 minutes later than the beginning
4. 40-45 minutes later than the beginning

B. Second collage - in WS. Death-end of fiord. Western part of the coast (Exactly little bit on south-west) A place between the A and C collage POV

1. 5 minutes later than the beginning You can still see the rainbow on the left.
2. 15 minutes later than the beginning (bigger wave and almost no ice) The water surface is divided – on the left more gray (cloudy) on the right more blue (sunny). Clear blue sky.
3. 25 minutes later (growlers (ice) are floating from the coast) Different clouds appear.
4. 40-45 minutes later (a lot of growlers (ice) and almost calm water)

C. Third collage - in WS. Part of the coast opposite to A collage. North-western part.

1. 5 minutes later
2. 15 minutes later (a little bit different POV with visible sun)
3. 25 minutes later
4. 40-45 minutes later (You can see the coast – glaciers and rocks not so deeply hidden in clouds) Also smaller wave and a small growlers on the surface.

Hi CHris,
This is the kind of weather change I experience in my country as well, but than in 5 minutes. But it never looks as beautiful as in your photos. This is great evidence to what light does to a photo as well. You can see the difference in color and clarity. This must have been an great experience, not only the changing weather, but also the spectacular view.
TFS,
Niek

P.S. I will return once the WS's are available.

Amazing shots. very nice collection of illustrative pictures. TFS. with best regards.vab.

Hejka!
Super!!! :>
Oby tak dalej! Ale moze nastepnym razem cos z cieplejszych rejonow? ;>
Pozdrawiam,
Radek

Hello Krzysztof,
if your stationed on a particular place it is not easy to show to other people what it was like there. This image comes close. It really gives an idea about the changing weather conditions
Great!

Hi Krzysztof,
the effort and time you put into your posts really put me to shame. This is a superb selection of shots that besides actually going there in person, give the best idea of what this environment is really like.
It's interesting to see the effect of the waters colour by the changing light and you've presented them all in such a way that it's very easy to understand. Thanks for such a visually pleasing and educational post. One day i will make it here..

Hello Krzystof
You have captured a fascinating look at a part of the earth which most of us never see..its a great idea...the only downside to me is that maybe the shots could have been taken at the same location to really demonstrate the weather...that said im at home in the warm!!
TFS and Best Regards
Paul

That's amazing, my friend,
unbelieveable that there are only 45 minutes between all shots - what great nature and you show it so good in your collage, thanks

Hola,
So this must be Autumn in the SH. The coming of Winter must be a drastic thing. From -45F to -75F :-( Very well captured with excellent POVs and colors.

A thrilling excursion into the micro climate in a part of the world we only see on TV. Nice 4 square collage...and each frame so well noted. Very well though tout Krzys. You have an eye for the minute detail as do your notations.

Hi Krzysztof

This is a very interesting and original presentation, my friend!
Im sure your experience there was a unique one, and it's posts like this one that make us understand better how it actually was. It's not really artistic or cute (as say an animal would be), but it's very attractive, informational and interesting.
Very well done, especially with all that effort put in the Workshops, too.

Bravo and TFS

Hello Krzysztof, you're very lucky to have witnessed such phenomenons and to have seen Antartica. Well done on that series, they're all beautiful. Thanks,

Mario

Hi Chris,

Really nice images and a great story; I particularly like the idea behind this and the presentation.

Kind regards,

Mike

Four very fine captures from the same perspective as the weather changed in a short span of time in Antarctica, Chris.
These are very precious and beautiful pictures that fill me with a sense of wonder at the unique beauty of this region on the earth.
Thanks for sharing and warm regards.
