Info on the Long-tailed Skipper

Taken on the same day as "Skippy" about fifteen miles South of Sundance Garden. This one was photographed at Virginia Point on Galveston Bay. It along with a few like friends and some Buckeyes were feasting in a Lantana patch. These small butterflies were evrywhere that day.

Hello Jim,
This shot of a Long-tailed Skipper is great, in fact the best that I have seen of this species. not only do you have a good sharpness throughout the skipper bu this POV allows us to see the upper and under surfaces of the wings at the same time. In addition the composition with the lantana flower is excellent against a fine bokeh.
