[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
As I love this little insects, I can not avoid showing you one pic more of damoiselles, specially for Paul, as he likes them too.
This is the same one I published having a sunbath in the stone near the river. As I told you before, this "aliens" are very nervous, and fly away at the minimal movement. In this case I was lucky as the damiselle was very confortable for about 30 seconds and could get near to it.
My sony has a 58mm lens, and focal lenth show in my exif for this pic is 9.7 mm.
I know F4 is a bit short, I had time to try F6 but with such tiny and dark colored thing my speed dropped and the datails of the black parts too. I cropped ,adjusted levels and sharpen.
Hope you like.

Nice one Felipe and thanks for the dedication. I do love these creatures and It won't be long before they disappear until next May. Nice one.

Good crop of this sharp portrait, you give me some ideas to tackle DOF. Very well done.

Nice one , looks perty clear to me. as to speed against aperture, well all I can say is trust your camera software, I have a 707 and its amazing how slow a speed you can get away with I have sharp images down to 1/15 sec hand held, give it a try and also try spot metering when working in macro mode.

Great shot, love the detail. I have tried to get these little creatures on film but have never been successful. Well done on defining the colours so well!
