The brain coral, ubiquitous colony of the Caribbean.
Coral is nature's condominium: each little unit is created by a tiny creature that excretes calcium compounds to build the walls of its tiny home. The coral grows as each coral creature reproduces then dies, leaving its offspring to add to the "condominium".
Fish gather to corals to feed, sleep, and to hide from predators, much as birds flock to trees on land.
