I reckon it is a Common 5 ring butterfly...
Ypthima baldus.

Look in website indiabutterflies.tripod.com

Nice image, good POV and fine detail to head and thorax!!

Hi Haraprasan,
superb close-up shot,excellent details,nice composition and pov.
very well done.
TFS.

It is always a pleasure to see that one doesn't need a high priced camera for very beautiful image, although I must admit to having high priced lens...but this is as fine a shot as one could expect. Very nice colorings and we learn more every day from ID needed. It works well that way. We all learn together.
Bob

Hello Haraprasan,

Very sharp picture. The composition is nice also.
Cheers,
Mariki

Hello Haraprasan,
This an Ypthima species of Satyrid butterfly: an Indian butterfly specialist should be able to give you the exact ID. Nice sharp and well-composed capture and it looks like a bird has tried to take it by pecking at the eye mark on the bottom of the hindwing.
Well done and thanks,
Ivan

Hello Haraprasan,
you present as a professional picture of an Ypthima species. The wing colour pattern is exceptionally clear and sharp. Another help for identification is that a large part of the forewing can be seen. The species shown is
- Ypthima sakra
- Nymphalidae / Satyrinae
which is a relative large species within the genus.
Best wishes, Peter

Hello Haraprasan,
Whatever be the name, it's beautiful. Very good macro shot. Nice colours. TFS.
