[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Poas is a stratovolcano with several eroded calderas, cones, and two crater lakes at or near its summit. Poas has erupted at least 39 times since 1828 and is in state of nearly continuous mild activity. Most of the eruptions are phreatic, caused by the interaction of lava and the water in the crater lake. Explosions vary in strength. Some explosions eject material about 1,500 feet (500 m) above the lake. The lake (and steam) is very acidic, with a pH of close to zero. Temperatures as high as 185 F (85 C) have been measured at the crater lake.

Hola Jessica. Una exelente foto de este "Lago Acido" Muy finos colores y agradable presentacion. Tu nota es muy buena tambien. Felicidades y recibe un saludo. Luis52.

Hi Jessica
Thanks for sharing this interesting picture.
I like colours of the picture. The contrast between grey and blue is amazing. I thought that I would like to see whole lake not only the part of it, but I've noticed that you have already posted the picture of the whole lake.
the sharpness is also well.

Hi Jessina,

very interesting subject. I like a lot the contrast between the water and the rock color

Hello Jessica,
I like your composition.
The colour of the lake looks almost like a blue sky...
Zero acid...oh that's not a lot, I'm going to swim...:-)
