[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note [French]
Note : I have made this photo of a wild Martagon Lily on the Taillefer mountain at 1000m altitude.
---
Name : Martagon Lily or Turk’s Cap - Scientific name : Lilium Martagon – Family : Liliaceae.
---
Description : Perennial plant 0.30m to 1.50m height. Stretching across Europe to Mongolia, the original Turk’s Cap, Lilium Martagon inhabits a broader range than any other Lily. This variety’s tapered, luminous towers feature up to fifty waxy, pendant flowers composed of strongly recurving snowy white petals. Anchored by whorled, lustrous, deep green foliage, the heavily scented blooms look splendid amid Stipa gigantea.
Habitat : Lilium Martagon is the most frequent Lilium of the Alps. It grows on deep soils, often under cover, up to 2800m altitude.
Comments : Adaptable to full sun. Deer love to dig and eat lily bulbs.
---
Photo : Cropped, resized and framed in 800x600 for TN.

Another beautifull flower from Alps Christian! I like its colours and shapes, good composition and POV. I noticed that you still use your tiny Ixus instead of Panasonic - why?

Un pur délice, belle à croquer! C'est incroyable comment la nature est en avance chez vous Christian, ici il y a encore de la neige en montagne! superbe photo et belles couleurs,définition parfaite.

Très belle composition

Amicalement!

Christian a superb capture of this wild specimin I note here the one grown in cultivation has more spots on the petals.
Not the world nicest smelling lilly, but here is clearly seen complete with its attachment to the main plant, DOF could of been a little deeper with the use of a larger F number but presume you were fighting the lack of light in the shade it seems to be in. TFS a true piece of TN posting.
