Size 6 mm. On a foodplant, Asparagus officinalis. There was also a lot of larvae, but i didn't manage to take any decent shots.
The Central-Chernozem Biosphere State Reserve, some 10 km S of Kursk.

I ovelooked this picture so far, but now I ant to tell you that you did a fine job: the beetle is quite small and glossy, yet you came up with a perfectly focussed head- on portrait . Good use of the flash. The reflections could be easily removed with the Patch tool, but I don't think this is necessary. Well done, Dmitry.
great macro of this small dude, love the colors, reminds me of my shot on the tortoise beetle, till next time, bye!bye!
