|Another picture in the sunrise collection of october 07. I liked this morning sky because of the rays of light shooting through the red clouds. It looked like giant searchlights in the sky. This phenomenenon is of course not that uncommon I think. It is visible up here a couple of times each year, ecspecially during winter. It is, Im told, caused by the sunlight reflecting off ice crystals high up in the atmosphere.|
Whatever is is, it sure is pretty cool!

It's nice to see you back posting here and it's definitely great seeing such great captures!
You surely know how to "put" mood in your photos and this is another terrific example how. The colors here on the clouds are simply brilliant and the shapes they take are fantastic! They really do look like giant searchlights! :)
The composition is also very well thought of, with just enough ground included in the frame to give extra contrast and the "sense of gravity" for everything.
Great vertical format and a perfect exposure balance.
Bravo and TFS

What a great sunset. You have captured some lovely red light here. composition is simply great.
Long time no see. I do hope all is fine and you are still enjoying the photography virus. I see that you have purchased a new lens or should I say gem, since that is a really stunning piece of glass.
The photo is a wonderful piece of Norway autumn evidence. The sunlight during these months just seem to create art in the sky.
