I found this bee caught between of a mimosa tree flower. He had to fight hard for his way out. First I thought maybe a spider will catch him but he got lucky. :o)

For at least 4,000 years honeybees have been kept for their honey and for beeswax, a substance used to make candles, ointments, and many other products. Honeybees and bumblebees are the best-known types of bees, but there are more than 20,000 bee species in all. They live all over the world except in Antarctica.

Hi Ileana, Lovely shot excellent detail I love the soft focus effect around the edges it really draws you into the centre of the picture, stunning colours, very nice work, Cheers Rick :)

Fantastic composition. The DOF and color are perfect - the blur on the edges is great. The honey bee is hard at work and that is reflected in his position deep within the bloom. Well done.

What a beautiful display of colour Ileana. The DOF worked so well for this, and the bee is, well....just a bonus!
