so very good to see you. I was and do get concerned on a while different level sometimes. Perhaps I am an empath...
The notes fit the picture for sure. Beautiful colours in differing shades. Really shows off the quality of the camera...if in the right hands.
I love the window sill beanbag approach. I shall try it:-)

Hello Emma,
Nice to see a picture from you again. It is full of peace, reflecting these moments where nature is still silent. Great composition, very subtle colour-tones of the different layers of the ground and still fabulous Oak tree. It is really a beautiful view to have from the window!
Thanks a lot and take care

Hi Emma!
What a comeback!
I'm really happy to see you posting again, a sign of you're getting better.
It's a breathless sunrise. Having in mind that cold, it's so enjoyable to admire it in its whole beauty.
The composition is so well balanced, with the presence of the lonely oak tree and that clouds on the stunning sky.
My compliments and thanks to post it.
Best regards and wish you keep getting better.

All is well... Emma's tree is still punctuating a glorious sun rise. The silhouette against those wonderful colors is very effective. It is a simple strong image. Very nice..

Hi Emma,
What a beautiful and tranquil scene, and from your house too! I would love to see something like this from my window. You've captured some fantastic colours here (with a new toy I see :-)) and a great decision to leave the filters alone. Beautiful.
Glad to hear you're feeling better and getting a little more active, getting as ill as you did was a terrible thing but to happen to such an active person is unjust. Still you've managed it with dignity and decorum, good to see that British stiff upper lip :-)
Best regards,
Adrian

Definitely much more beautiful than ours here :))
Hi Emma and so nice to see you back here and posting!
It's great news that you're feeling better. I wish you again all the best and to get to 100% as soon as possible :)
I remember "your tree" well :) I know in my first TN days i used to look at it and unconsciously compare it to the one i have in my backyard. Unfortunately, mine is surrounded by buildings almost as old as it is, so such beautiful shots are out of the question.
Indeed it was a gorgeous way to start a day! The classical composition here is as lovely as always and the colors are just brilliant. I just love those lines in the sky - they add just the right amount of interest and contrast to that part of the frame.
Truly wonderful work!
Bravo and TFS
Horia
PS: in the trips from the past two years, i've come around a very old tree in a lovely place i took some landscape and wildlife photos in. I still haven't posted a shot from it...well actually i did - my intro shot :)) Believe it or not, both me and my dog were up in that tree there.
But this wasn't the point really... i just wanted to say that i might post one due so a small similarity in shape and in the "feelings" - "my" tree :)

Hi Emma
Your sunrise is the start to a new day, and you've captured it so well. The colours are amazing, including the soft curvy clouds in the sky. I love how the trees go from dark to light, it shows a nice perspective. I love your tree, it has so much character as it reaches for the sky.
TFS and take care

Hi Emma,
Sorry that you could not sleep, but glad you you took this moment to pamper us with this wonderful photo of your tree. I am happy to read that things are going better and I do hope that this line will rise rappidly.
You know my weak spot for beautiful skies, so this photo is pleasing that spot a lot. The soft swirls in the clouds and the warm colors are most beautiful. The details in the FG fied and the hazy layers in the back gives the photo a great feel of depth. I love the way the tree became the only pure black object within the composition.
TFS,
Niek

Richard ... see you later
Hi Emma!
It's a great pleasure to see your pictures again. I felt free to chose between this one and your last post. I prefer this one for its very good composition. The foreground that leads to the horizon, the tree and the slight mist on der horizon line add a lot to the value of the picture. And I particularly love the shapes and the color tones of the clouds.
Wish you all the best and hope to see you soon again on TN.
Kind regards
Markus

Hi Emma
Lovely to see some new material of this most famous oak tree from Surrey. Apart from the beauty of the tree and the artistic shot it is great to hear of your slow (yet steady) recuperation. Although there's probably still a quite steep hill up front (with the surgery looming around the corner) I am hopeful for you to make a complete recovery and once again be able to enjoy life to your full abilities. The human body has an amazing capacity to heal and mostly time is the best long term remedy. Anyway, I still hope to see a good deal more of your beautiful landscapes, orchids, insects, and various other shots in the future.
I was looking through your two themes "My Tree" and "My Sunsets and Sunrises" when suddenly the words from the chorus of the song "Sunrise, Sunset" from the musical "Fiddler on the Roof" sprang to mind…
Sunrise, sunset.
Sunrise, sunset.
Swiftly flow the days.
Seedlings turn overnight to sunflowers.
Blossoming even as we gaze.
Sunrise, sunset.
Sunrise, sunset.
Swiftly fly the years.
One season following another.
Laden with happiness and tears.
Best regards and a speedy recovery.
