[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
As you leave the Icefield Centre on the Icefield Parkway in Alberta, the highway climbs up to Tangle Ridge, which is a great place to find Mountain Goats. This image was taken in June and this fellow is shedding his heavy winter coat.

The foreground illustrates the rocky terrain that Mountain Goats favour and the background provides the sense of the height of their natural habitat.

A very good portrait of this stange animal!
Particularly I like the depth of this picture, and than you have included the river in the upper part.

Hello John,
This image is simply outstanding, it's going straight to my favorites. The depth in this image is amazing, as is the goat captured in it. Thanks John for sharing it with us and showcasing what our great province has to offer.

amazing image sir....very nice depiction of its habitat.....

I don't know whether to be more worried about the goat or the photographer on this dangerous slope - how did you get close enough, even with a 300 mm lens, to take this? Very effective, and excellent exposure for the goat's hairy coat.

Hola John.- Muy bella es esta fina foto. Exelente claridad y muy hermosa la pose. El fondo del bosque con los pinos y el rio se aprecian tambien muy hermosos.

A nice majestic look. Love the feel of the height. Nicely taken.

Hi John.
Wow, what a shot, amazing. Great sharpness, exposure and detail. Love the DOF you have used to make him stand out beautifully, but we can still see down to the distance.
Wonderful image

What an amazing photo this is. It makes my palms sweat just looking at it, as it seems like such a precarious perch. It is a perfect setting for such an animal. ...and then to capture him looking straight at you. Super work!

Hello John !
This is really an awesome picture ! Sharp details, natural colors, wonderful composition and POV, everything is excellent. I lice the fact that the Goat is loking directly at you, he looks curious and not afraid of you. The BG is wonderful, for it shows us how high you were and gives a wonderful depth to the picture. Must have been a very impressive encounter, I'm so jealous ! :-)
