Larval food plants Rubus idaeus, Sanguisorba officinalis, S. minor, Potentilla gelida etc.

Note in italiano

Ciao Marcello,
Superb capture with excellent quality, even if the photo is over three years old, of S. orbifer, a species of skipper that I have never seen in real life.
The sharpness is superb and allows the skipper to contrast well against the OOF natural BG.
Grazie,
Ivan

Buongiorno Marcello,
you show a well-focused picture of this small skipper which stands out very clear and contrasts nicely against the sufficiently blurred background. You selected a very narrow depth of field here (f/2.8). This works well to blur the background structures. On the other hand, the antennae are outside the range to achieve suitable sharpness.
Best wishes, Peter
