They say there is gold in the rivers and streams that run through the glens of Antrim, well now I believe!

Golden light from the trees above shimmer in the river below creating an fantastic illusion of liquid gold. Careful adjustment with the cir polariser brings this to best effect as I balance for reflection and contrast. Of the nine Glens of Antrim "Glenariff" is referred to as the 'Queen of the Glens'.

Steve, this is just fantastic!
A wonderful moment captured in what i consider to be a perfect composition! It simply had everything - a great waterfall, a magnificent golden reflection, splendid colors in the vegetation and those amazing mossy rocks sprinkled with lovely leaves.
It just doesn't get any better than this!
Definitely a favorite!

BRAVO and TFS
Horia

PS: is this a simgle exposure shot or a multiple one?

Hi!
Fantastic picture.
Colors are the most imporant here, that golden reflection makes the picture - together with the waterfall.
Composition perfect too!
TFS!
Regards, Jon.

Hi Stephen!

You have realized an outstanding picture. The golden reflections are superb, and you didn't overdo the blurred effect of the water. I imagine it was difficult to find the right settings for the exposure and it would be interesting to know them. The whole picture generates a romantic atmosphere that pleases very much to me.

Kind regards

Markus

Ahh... now this one really is something! I think you used a little bit faster shutter speed than you usually do ?? which I like on the falls. The "liquid gold" is amazingly wonderful! I like how it is balanced by the light and color above the falls. It isn't just liquid gold... it is a priceless photo... go sell it!!!!

Hi Steve,
How wonderful that the light has iluminated the golden leaves and reflected it onto the water. The motion in the water has surely created a smooth mirror.
I really like the light on the falls, the bottom has this great white color while the top is more golden.
Another great example of your knowledge and creative eye.
TFS,
niek

I am very impressed with this shot, you've captured everything perfectly, I love this shot, it will be a favourite! Great work!
