RAINBOW AT NIGHT
Just fantastic Radomir!!!!
The black BG is superb and causes the colourful eyes to stand out so well!
Amazing detail and sharpness.
Very well done,
That is all i can say, except for brilliant BG! :D
Thanks for sharing,
(P.S. The liking toward your photo must run in the family! My brother has critiqued as well!)
WOW! This is truly amazing! The acro capabilities of your camera are really awesome! I didn't know you could go that close and still keep such a great DOF...really terrific!
And the result is a very beautiful shot of this "terrible blood-sucking fly" ;) The title also fits nicely due to all the reflections and colors on the fly's head and body.
The lighting in this shot is the key element in my point of view - the warmer light source from the left and your flash from the right really act as a mood--setter and give you that large palette of colors and reflections.
Very nice and sharp, taken from an excellent POV and with a wonderful contrasting BG, this is indeed an outstnading shot, my friend!
Bravo and TFS

Wow..is that a close in or what? A rose is a rose...so a fly is a fly, but not so in the macro world. It is much different and when notated even more so.

Gran acercamiento y sobre todo en las condiciones de luz en que se hizo el disparo. Los detalles, sobre todo de la cabeza, son impresionantes. Muy bien captado el aguijón. Didáctico trabajo muy bien realizado.

Brilliant capture of the eyes of this blood-sucking fly, Radomir. The rainbow in one eye justifies your caption.
It is a wonder in itself that you were able to shoot this creature at night.
Very well done and TFS.
Beautiful macro of a Horse Fly, taken from a fine POV with excellent colours, fine use of flash, sharpness and fine dark BG. You can see the blood-sucking mouth parts here too.
Difficult to exactly ID this at this angle but it could be T. bromius.
Well done, thanks and best wishes,
