Beautiful picture of Tailed Jay.This is one butterfly I have admired a lot but never have been successful in photographing. What you said is really true. It's flight pattern makes it very difficult to capture. You have done a good job in taking it's picture and sharing it with us . The POV used clearly shows the colors and patterns on the wing.Good sharpness and DOF. Excellent use of fill flash.

I am wondering if the Guinness book of World record's has this as fastest?:-) The book list all sorts of things, however probably not the faster nectar feeder. An interesting additional note.
Very nice colourings on this large butterfly. Although not indigenous to this locale, some swallowtails are. If I could get this close as you did it would be nice. There is something pleasing about its color..almost a lime green.
