[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The spider strikes again, This time its a even bigger butterfly. The white crab spider killed this butterfly hiding between the leaves of lantana. The underside of wings are exposed here and the antenae are in reverse direction.

The butterfly was quite bigger than the spider but it carried away the butterfly soon after the kill.

The raw to jpeg conversion, resizing and framing done,

your critiques and comments are most welcome.

Hello Pankaj,
Apart from in-flight shots, this is probably the only way we can get to see what the uppersides of the wings of this butterfly and related species.
Excellent capture of the prey and the Crab Spider with the usual high technical merits as well as fine composition and OOF natural BG.
Well done and TFS!

Hello Pankaj,

Just marking, no time today.

Amazing shot. DOF and POV are out standing.
Best regards,

Quite the large dinner the spider has there..I suppose he shall store bits...I would not have noticed unless you had said in notes...in picture sans notes, it appears as unusual but not two things..and then with notes..it becomes apparent...Good use of words and image...a treat from you Pankaj!

Hello Pankaj,
I do like it Pankaj; especially the light on that wing and also the content trough this spider attack.
Well done!

Hello Pankaj,
So sad to see a butterfly in this distress situation. Your shot is perfect. Those reverse antennae tell the tale. Very well done.

What an excellent capture of this tragic end for a beautiful lady.
Magnificent shot with great sharpness, POV, DOF and composition.
Thank you so much, dear Pankaj.

Ciao Pankaj,
an "strong" image, that which we present today. I suffer a little, seeing the beautiful butterfly victim of spider. But this is normal in the world of insects!
Colours, light, focus, sharpness, point of view and composition are perfect.

Hi dear Pankaj,
Magnificent picture!
A magical moment eternalized for their lens!
Excellent framing and great perpective.
Not always the most is the strongest... a small spider and its brutal force!
Thanks for sharing this marvel!

Hi Pankaj

You present us a dramatic picture that remeinds us of the cruel reality. Nature is not only beautiful, but also hard. Your picture has the merit to reveal this.

Kind regards

Another carefully observed and brilliantly captured shot. I really cannot say anything else - the shot is pretty near perfect.

Hi Pankaj.
Superb dramatic scene and terrific sharpness and details of the insects and leaves on the top right-hand corner. Amazing flash light and tremendous rich colour palette. I like that BG is illuminated very well too. Excellent square composition. Bravo and TFS.
