[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This narcissus is blooming now in the rocky areas of Israel from the Negev in the south, to the Galilee in the North. Another population will bloom in a month or two in the heavy soils of the valleys. Te flowers are about 4 cm in diameter. The excellent rain fall we have had so far has produced beautiful bunches of this rather common flower. The “crown’ comes in various shades of gold.

Bonjour Ishi,
Cette photo est splendide, avec un éclairage latéral bien maîtrisé. IL est intéressant de voir les variations dans l'écologie de l'espèce : dans le sud de la France, Narcissus tazetta pousse dans des prairies humides plus ou moins marécageuses, comme la deuxième population dont tu parles. Il fleurit entre janvier et mars. Je ne connais pas de stations en sols rocailleux.
