Hi Bob,
welcome to the brave new year of 2008 and may it bring you some joy and happiness and no extra hardship or nerve damage.I am more careful anymore as since I have become middle aged I do not heal so very fast anymore and the thought of going down on a fall from slipping on ice doesn't turn me on as your last paragraph suggests in your note.Your photo has a sullen and dark look and feel about it,a look that is made ever more so by the fact it is done in black&white.All looks good in this shot and the field of depth is great given the conditions at the time.A fine photo for TN and I hope to see many more from you this year. Hi Bob,

A beautiful scene from a beautiful person. The silhouettes of the trees are wonderful. Your notes give so much more meaning to the picture. I, too, slipped on the ice, but did no permanent damage. I broke my hip and was out of commission for six months. I am not as brave as you. I vowed I would not spend one more winter in the northeast. That is how I ended up in Arizona.

Those trees have a very ominous feel to them Bob, it looks like they're trying to form a gang or something to me, huddling up like that. This is a shot with alot of mood and and deceptively huge depth too..i have stared at it for some time, enjoying it immensely.

Another class image, with perfect balance and tone. I love the sence of cold and wet that almost gusts out of the picture, and the b&w adds real drama to the image.

Dark & foreboding mood Bob, without a doubt..The image speaks to your unfortunate mishap.
Your fate might've been as one Dr. Atkins (atkins diet guru)..he slipped and fell on an icy sidewalk, lost his life. I compound fractured my left leg in a motorcycle vs car accident in my late teens. I have a slight limp now..I could be the one-legged man I suppose..
ANYWAY :)
Zero degrees eh..It got down into the mid-twenties last night, busted an outside faucet I left under pressure..da.
