[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Clicked the bird in frame at Corbett National Park (Tiger Reserve) close to Ramganga river. The bird was holding an off shoot of the elephant grass........do you know the name of this bird ?

A special mention must be made of the avifauna found out here which is very interesting, because of the overlap between the high altitude and plains, and the eastern and western races of a number of species. As the park is situated on a migratory route, it is visited by the passage migrants. It also attracts a large number of migratory birds, with the Ramganga river attracting species that migrate vertically up (in summer) and down the Himalaya (in winter).

The Zoological Survey of India has recorded over 585 species of resident and migratory birds here.
