I saw this landscape with the dappled light and small dots for trees just before the Clarno Fossil Beds yesterday. The beautiful sky and the golden grasses, along with the great light sat me back as I enjoyed the subtle changes that took place for a few minutes.
I will post a few images in the workshop of this trip to the Clarno Fossil Beds, one of the three Units of the John Day Fossil Beds in Central Oregon. |

Hi Steven
This is a very nice landscape. I agree with you on the gold against beautiful blue sky. Looks great
a very nice capture of what looks to be a beautiful day.

1969 acres of this from what I read. Should I ever totally recover enough to visit, I would say this will be on my list of interests after looking through my relatives ghost towns not far away. They did have the time of it in high desert, irrigating from the John Day river....A place which looks not totally unlike the Palouse, yet having driven through before...I know it is is generally near a harsh hot ride...Nicely done.
