One example: their haircut!
The former must be a 'wow', even for gentlemen such as Johnny Rotten or Vidal Sassoon. And it is a strange idea that this perfect animal might not survive the night through predation;
it is lion's preferred menu.
It was one of my preferred models in Africa.
Thanks for looking...

Characteristics

Burchell's Zebra is a large land mammal with an off-white coloring, but never pure white. The shadow stripes are usually well marked, and the leg stripes are absent or poor, and almost never complete to hooves.

Greast facial close up up this common african grazer. Although classic for his kin the haircut is cute too

Bonjour voisin !
Une star du rock dans sa région sans aucun doute !
Un très joli profil, et comme toujours vous concernant, une image bourrée de qualités.
Bonne journée.
Antoine.

Hi Annick

I perfectly understand why this was your preferred model in Africa...no need for make-up or other styling here :)
Indeed their hair is impeccabe - both in length and in color - where the fluind stripes from their body continue superbly.
Needless to say, teh sharpness in your portraits is always majestic, the DOF is spot-on and the composition is lovely.
Wonderful work, my friend!

Bravo and TFS

Hi Annick,
I recognised it was one of yours at the square format you often use and the quality of the close composition. This kind of zebras probably inspired the romans ;-)
Good colors and light control on the stripes.
Well done and TFS

Hallo Annick,
Redelijk angstaanjagend.
Groet,
Peter

Hi Annick,
Nice seeing this zebra in natural setting. This one must have a rough day with red dust all over. The image is sharp and crystal clear. Very well done.
JC

Hi Annick,
Fine portrait of this Zebra.
Tech details are top notch as usual.
The fellow looks like he rather enjoyed being your model.
Is that a wee bit of a smile I detect? :-)
Well done, TFS

Hello Annick,
This is a perfect profile closeup Annick, with your normal superb quality camera work. This brings us a wonderfully detailed and colored image to view this species with, thank you Annick.
Rick

Yes the hair...if it were only in a burgandy red that would do it...I think I have seen this fella on the streets of Manhattan somewhere near Soho...or perhaps Greenwich Village...wow..What a wonderful capture Annick...and you do have a lighter side to your notes from time to time as well...
Bob

Hi Annick

Hi Annick.
Once more fantastic picture from you. The image of the zebra is outstanding and it is clear. But BG is wonderful is highest range too. I like a plenty of attractive objects – leaves with different colouration, grass, tree branches, etc. level of blurriness is simply great. Bravo. Next my favorite animal shot.
Alexei.

Hi Annick,

Lovely portrait of this Zebra. The level of detail is stunning - I have never seen a Zebra's eye in detail, which looks unsurprisingly exactly like a horse's. Fantastic shot.

Mike

Glad to look, Annick. Yes, that is some haircut indeed! A beautifully animal, skillfully shown. Great POV here and good control of the depth of the field to keep our attention right on the subject. Your right-on cropping and zooming, of course, accentuate that. Thanks, too, for the informative note.

Jim
