In north of Italy the river Ticino is a tributary of the Po River. It is about 248 kilometres long. It rises in the St. Gotthard massif in Switzerland and flows through Lake Maggiore. The Ticino joins the Po a few kilometres downstream of Pavia.
This reagion is now protected by a natural park, the National Park of Ticino.
This picture has been taken in a place called Casoni in the Comune of Carbonara Ticino that is very close to Pavia. |
