[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This gorilla was born in the wild in 1961. He is a silverback and is 43 years old. He looks angry all the time and spends a lot of time by himself. He wasn't happy with me taking his photo.

He does seem to have an attitude going on in this photo, but is a fine looking gorilla, Alli. Well captured and composed, thank you for sharing him with us.

Hello Alli!

Welcome to TN (I know you've posted some pictures before, but this is the first time I am criticizing a picture from your hand;))! This is a very fine photo. Pose is funny and so is the title. I really dig that. :) Details on the Gorilla are great and the composition is perfect (a non centered subject draws far more attention). The eyes and the top right chest are a little too dark, but it's very difficult to expose such a dark animal correctly. All in all you did great.

Keep your good posts coming!

Very good capture Alli with excellent composition. Good detail and light on the gorilla. Iv done a workshop on it, hope you like it. Very well done.

Attractive composition. This photo evokes the sad life of animals in captivity. Of what right arrest them we and lock them we? To look after them? To save them? Or simply to keep them for our arrangement?
Cordially. Serge.

Nice capture Alli,
A very belated welcome to TN.
Nicely composed shot, good details and pose.
Stephens WS works well with this shot. It is difficult to get the exposure right on blacks and whites.
I like the POV, he's right on top of you. What distance were you at for this shot?
Thanks for posting

Any visit to the Zoo, is to see these wonderful creatures (APE!! Gorilla). I've always admired there Lazy Ways at the Zoo..thanks for sharing

Who would? It is beautifully composed picture Alli. He surely has attitude and you have caught the subtle shades so well. A great picture...
