This is a tribute to a forecomming in my life. In aproximatelly one month I will leave United States and move to Bali, Indonesia for two years. I expect a lot of adventures and some trips to awesome places like Borneo, Papua and New Caledonia.
But back at this picture, this is one of the wild residents of the Sangeh Forest, near the town of Ubud in central Bali, where a large troop of long tail macaques (Macaca fascicularis) are the dominant primates. This is one of the sharpest portraits I captured while there, a bit surprised by the flash trick I pulled on him. Together with the old temple ruins, surrounding forest and so many monkeys it felt just like Jungle Book.

Hallo Radu
I am quite dazzled of how you went about to get a photo of me when I wake up in the morning, because I think this is just how it is. Hair uncombed, eyes as stiff as a poker. Mouth dry, dentures still in the overnight detergent. No all jokes aside. This is a stunning and most enjoyable portrait of the Balinese monkey. Good close-up with clear details. Those huge eyes are really impressive. I am sure this is one of the animals they used as actors in the movie "Planet of the apes". Thanks for sharing. It was lovely to look at myself again. I must really do something with that hairs on my lip.
Kind regards
Anna

I like the "deer in the headlight" look,
and that spikey hairdo.
The details ARE very sharp, and the light is great.
You captured a wonderful expression, Radu.
TFS. : )

The expression on this primate is funny, it's like it was posing just for you, the flash actually worked out pretty nice. Very nice Radu and TFS.
Paul :)
