[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Have been tied up with family stuff for a few weeks, so it was nice to take some time and go back through some of my archive photos. This image was taken in Parkesville B.C. on Vancouver Island. The Great Blue Herons are so fast, I had to anticipate when I thought he was striking and then hope that he had a fish. Turned out well this time. A fun shot. I think that Herons are beautiful, very stately with all their colors and plumage. In this case, the water dripping off of the fish in his mouth implies some action that isn't really evident in the image.

Hi John,

Beautiful heron in action (I think you had to be patient to take this one; or is it just luck?) DOF perfect to bring the subject in attention;lovely natural colours.

Cheers, Petru
