Hi, Jeppe. Funny coincidence. Our shots are complementary! Yours is having dinner and some more is waiting in the fridge. It shows also the zig-zag reinforced web. Very good "active" waspspider.

Very nice details shot of the spider, Jeppe. Well composed with the main subject in the upper right area. Crisp rendition of detail in the web (in which there even seem to be some insects entangled). Lastly, very nice colors as well as good DOF.

This is also a nice catch. The zig-zag in the web is unique to this Agriope type spiders. Very nice post. Thanx.

I am learning a lot of this spider. Very good cropping, I am glad you kept the mosquitoes on the left hand. The background makes the photo very contrasted. Thanks.

Great capture of the elusive wasp spider (hvepseedderkop). Had you captured this two days before, you could have entered it in the big "spider hunt" at www.danske-dyr.dk where they've been after ascertaining the distribution of i.a. this type of spider. Actually, the wasp spider is a rather new addition to the fauna of Denmark, it was found here for the first time as recently as 1992.

Jeppe, Looks very similiar to Argiope auranita a common Yellow Garden Spider. Your spider, busy with its prey, with food on the shelf makes for an interesting photo. I recently shot similiar spider,in LOW-LIGHT. What a difference a little daylight can make! ;-)

Excellent shot, Jeppe. Good DOF and composition. Possibly a little fill-in flash could improve - if possible.

Great shot of this wasp spider Jeppe. DOF and colours are spot on as well as the cropping and composition. Both Bente and I have been watching for these spiders in our hunting field but without luck even they are seen in the neighborhood.
Hi Jeppe
Nice colors of this spider. How big was? Nice scene.
