|It was a gloomy Sunday afternoon. After a daylong arguments with my wife on my all shorts of bad habits like smoking, laziness, inefficiency which she realized after years we got married; I was morosely having a cap of tea that my great better-half offered my. Suddenly the “Tonk – Tonk” sound alert me. I jumped up and ran to the balcony. Yes, Its my friend the Coppersmith Barbet, one of my companion who kept me busy last year in every afternoon, whom I didn’t saw during winter now back to his place. I know from next week he will be busy to rearrange his nest on the tree, in front of my house. But from the tree top he is not calling me. He is in search of his girl friend. I looked at him, asked him, ‘Do you know how the married life is?’ Though he knows the power of women, who every year bring him back to develop the nest...|

Bravo! This is the word uttered by eastwood to cleef in a movie. I appreciate your precision with the sun still so high and the capture of perfect shape of the bird.

This is a very poetic and beautiful picture, I like it a lot. And what a great note too, I laughed and saw myself in it with my own husband and sometimes I wonder why women do that... meanwhile, you men listen and yet capture great poetic pictures to open the heart of your lovely wife ;-) I am looking forward the nest and the little chicks, hopefully! Thank you Parthasarathi, great notes and great picture!
Have to chuckle at your note, Parthasarathi, but there’s no laughing at the picture. Whatever it lacks in detail, in makes up for in composition and seizing of the moment. You’ve got yourself a really striking image with that bird silhouetted against that huge sun. Makes me rather doubt your self-characterization as lazy and inefficient, but you spin a good yarn with your narrative :)
always good to see you post!!This is a piece of art in nature...it could well be a poster or an album cover of some sort...Very artistic eye you have there..along with your good use of the written word!
